After the grand success of the HTM2017, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (Govt. of Nepal) is hosting the 2nd Himalayan Travel Mart (HTM 2018) from June 1-3, 2018 in Kathmandu, Nepal. The event is being organized by Nepal Tourism Board in collaboration and partnership with PATA Int’l and Nepal Airlines Corporation (Official Partners), PATA Nepal Chapter (Event Organizer) and the prominent tourism associations of Nepal.
HTM 2018, as a unique B2B (Business to Business) event for the Himalayan Tourism Industry, shall continue to avail the remarkable gathering of Global Buyers, Himalayan Sellers, Travel Bloggers, influencers, National and International Media, Travel Industry Professionals and Delegates focused on different aspects of the Himalayan Tourism; facilitating them a platform for networking, shared knowledge, valuable insights and business opportunities.

The HTM2018 Conference will take place on 1st June under the theme “The Sustainable Road to 5 Million Visitors” in support of our “Vision 5 Million” campaign, aiming to bring 5 Million Visitors to Nepal by 2030. The conference shall witness the World Class High-Value Speakers/ Industry thought Leaders who will discuss and provide unparalled insights on the various subjects including Cinematic Tourism, China Outbound Travel Market, Human Capital Development, Adventure and Sustainability, Global Accessibility, Wellness & Medical Tourism, Gastronomy, etc.
- International Travel Bloggers & Media Conference (ITBMC)
The Second International Travel Bloggers and Media Conference (ITBMC) is all set to be held on 2nd June 2018 that particularly aims to promote Nepal as a most promising tourism destination, bringing together the professional international Travel Bloggers, International Media, Travel Photographers and a dynamic lineup of National and International thought leaders from across the world to observe, share and promote the beauty of Nepal. The Influencers and Bloggers shall share and discuss the new ideas, latest trends, and contemporary practices in Digital Marketing, Branding, Business promotion, Importance of blogging and different dynamics of marketing and development of travel and tourism.
All the ITMBC delegates along with Hosted Buyers will be facilitated with Pre-mart familiarization trips to different touristic destination in Nepal. PATA Nepal Chapter has been partnering with Professional Travel Bloggers Association (PTBA) to organize this important gathering.
- Buyers & Sellers Meet (Business Sessions)
B2B Sessions shall witness the participation of Global Buyers from Europe, North America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Russia & CIS, Asia and Middle East with interest in Nepal and the Himalayan Region. As of May 13, 2018, we have sort listed, selected and extended initiation to 56 Hosted Buyers from 28 different countries, where 95% are New Prospective Buyers who will be participating this year. Similarly, we have enrolled 50 registered sellers from 6 different countries including Nepal, India, Bhutan, China, Vietnam and UAE.
The Official Hotel and Event Venue Partner for HTM2018 is Soaltee Crowne Plaza, and a few esteemed Airlines including Turkish Airlines, Air Arabia, Etihad, China Southern and Fly Dubai are also supporting with some complimentary and Special Airfares for the delegates . We equally remember the invaluable support of domestic airlines last year and have also approached them to continue with their support. Likewise, we have continued support from Nepal Investment Bank, Shikhar Insurance as Event partners and CIWEC Hospital and Travel Medicine Center as a Health Partner. At the same time, Hotels from Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, and Lumbini have shown their full support with significant Complimentary Room Nights on BB Basis for the foreign delegates.
HTM aims towards showcasing Nepal as an international gateway for tourism, for the entire Himalayan Region. Himalayan Travel Mart shall also be playing a vital role in achieving the target of ‘VISION FIVE MILLION’ campaign that aims to bring 5 million tourists in Nepal by 2030. We believe that the event like HTM will pave the way by building the foundation in achieving the Govt. of Nepal’s envisaged target of vision 2020.
This prestigious event therefore targets to re-introduce Nepal as an ultimate adventure and event friendly destination to the whole world, hence, it is requested that, an event as historic as this, to be extended full and complete support from not just the tourism industry but various sectors, specially, the government, the tourism board, all political and non-political, financial and social associations, including, the entire nation.
