Nepal participated in the PATA Travel Mart 2013 that was successfully held from September 15 to 17 in Chengdu, China. Nepal participated in the event with the joint effort of Nepal Tourism Board and PATA Nepal Chapter along with 10 private companies under the Nepal pavilion. Each participant enjoyed 30 pre-fixed appointments with international buyers along with distinct visibility of the country through NEPAL PAVILION among the group buyers, organizing committee and media coverage. Some 232 companies participated in the PATA Travel Mart and around 1,000 delegates from nearly 60 countries and regions around the world were present in the event. “Nepal had around 450 visitors during the 2 day B2B (Business to business) meeting. Nepal Pavilion was the most prominent and appreciated booth amongst all the present buyers”- says PATA Nepal in its statement. The event is one of the top trade fairs in the Asia Pacific region, connecting a large number of international sellers and buyers providing a platform to showcase travel products and services throughout the Asia Pacific region.
