Destination Marketing Conclave (DMC) is a collaborative and informative conclave that brings together the public and private sector stakeholders to discuss the tourism prospects of a destination and share insights to support marketing, promotion and management for sustainable and responsible tourism growth in the region.
With a theme of "Strengthening Domestic and Cross-Border Tourism", the first-of-its-kind event in Itahari, Nepal will bring together 200+ delegates:
- Public Sector or Local Govt. Representatives/Authorities
- Tour Operators / Stakeholders from Cross-Border Source Markets of India and Bangladesh
- Local Tourism Stakeholders/ Service providers
- Experts and Valuable Speakers
- Diverse PATA Members, Young Tourism Professionals (YTPs), and others.
Destination Experience: The Destination Experience Tour during the event offers an opportunity to explore the alluring natural landscapes and cultural treasures of the destination.
The Conclave: The industry experts, local authorities/stakeholders during the informative and interactive conclave, as well as PATA YTPs (Tourism and Hospitality Students) as part of the PATA Public Speaking Competition, will share unparalleled insights and knowledge about the marketing, promotion and management aspects of the destination.
The Expo: The exposition during the event will present and showcase tourism and hospitality products/ service providers, food stalls, and local products of the destination.
Cultural Program, Networking & Social Gathering: The event provides the opportunity to be familiar with the local culture and build networks and relationships with diverse tourism stakeholders attending the event.

DAY 1 | Friday, 27th JAN. 2023
- Fly to Biratnagar via Buddha Air (or Drive to Itahari ) and transfer to Hotel in Bhedetar.
- In the evening, Enjoy the Camp Fire and Performances by PATA YTPs & Dinner Reception hosted by Sangurigadhi Rural Municipality.
DAY 2 | Saturday, 28th JAN. 2023
- Early morning, hike to the view tower and enjoy the majestic view of Sunrise.
- Have Breakfast and Check-out at the hotel.
- Hike down to Namaste Jharna and Drive to Dhankuta
- Experience the Local Delights of Dhankuta (Hosted by the Local Municipality)
DAY 3| Sunday, 29th JAN. 2023
- Morning Sightseeing in Dhankuta
- After breakfast, drive to Dharan and visit major touristic sites in Dharan.
- Luncheon hosted by Dharan International College Of Hospitality Management (PATA Member College)
- Drive to Barahkshetra and Visit the Barahkeshtra temple and surroundings. Enjoy the Motorboat over the Saptakoshi River.
- Visit Koshi Tappu Wild Life Reserve. Drive back to Itahari and Transfer to Hotel.
- In the evening, Dinner Reception hosted by Premiere Hotel School (PATA Member)
