PATA Nepal Student Chapter ABC Celebrates Tihar by Presenting the World's Largest Leaf-Plate

PATA Nepal Student Chapter- Atharva Business College has organized 'Atharva Tihar Celebration Program -2078' by presenting 84 varieties of Nepali food on the world's largest leaf-plate (टपरी) on 2nd November 2021 at the college premises located at Bansbari, Maharajgunj. 

The event was glorified by 3 major events. The major 1st event was ' Presentation of 84 varieties of foods on the world's largest leaf- plate(टपरी)'. This event took place in association with the 'Gastronomy Association of Nepal' and 'La Dhoka Naari Ghar'. The program was followed by live painting and sketching. Ms. Riya Maharjan from BHM 3rd Semester presented live sketching. With this, another incredible program was 'Deusi' that highlighted the history of '84 varieties of foods' from Nepal. The menu planning was done by the students at Atharva Business College and the menu was certified by Mr. Narayan Ghimere- World Food Scientist and Matina Joshi Vaidhya- Director, Food Corporation Nepal.

The event witnessed the honorable guests, Prof. Dr. Sushil Bhakta Mathema- TU, Mr . Achyut Guragain President of NATTA, Mr.Govinda Narsingh Kc -Legendary Chef, Mr. Pushpa Thapa Magar- Legendary Chef, Mr. Mohan Gajurel Global- Nepalese Chef were present in the program. Representatives from Gastronomy Association Nepal(GAN), Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN), Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Nepal Chapter, Nepal Association of Tours and Travel Agents(NATTA) were present at the event. Likewise, Mr. Sandesh Bhandari-CEO of Kumari Job.Com, Dr. Kumud Bhattarai- Senior Doctor from Bir Hospital, Ms. Archana Pradhan- Assistant GM of Grande Hospital were the guests of the event. Chairman and Principal Mr. Manoj Kumar Thapa Magar highlighted the need for the event and assured to work further to support Tourism Industry. 

BHM Coordinator Ms. Sunita Aryal shared the story on the planning and implementation of the event. The program was organized to increase practices of 84 varieties of food preparation and culture preservation from the ground level(students level) and revive its importance among the young generations. Before this event, other events were also organized by the PATA Nepal Students Chapter- Atharva Business College which was 'Tapari Gasne' and 'Dhago Batti Karyakram'. Technical support was provided by Women Faculty Members and La Dhoka Naari Ghar. 9 Chefs and 9 Naari Ghar workers were provided with the Token of Love. The event was monitored and supervised by Ms. Sunita Aryal- BHM Coordinator of Atharva Business College.
