Namaste and very warm greetings from PATA Nepal Chapter! 

On the eve of the New Year 2021, I would like to extend our warm wishes and prayers for your good health, happiness, and prosperity ahead! 

2020 was the most challenging year we ever had for humanity and especially for people in the tourism and hospitality industries. As leaders, we were put to the test of how we could lead and manage our respective businesses and responsibilities. Our employees and stakeholders have also been distressed by the unprecedented challenges created by the pandemic and subsequent business losses leading to a global economic meltdown. However, let us be thankful that we are still happy, healthy, and safe, and all set to step into 2021! We all agree and have realized that COVID-19 is first and foremost a public health concern amid the pain of 2020 and the hope for 2021 to get rid of all the physical, emotional, and economic sufferings that we have all had this year. 

We are a bit happy and optimistic about the arrival of the vaccines, but its actual outcome is yet to be observed! There is still social and political injustice in the country and around the world. With these challenging circumstances, we assume that our roadmap for tourism recovery is going to still be challenging. Even though we believe that the industry will experience a slow and gradual recovery of travel in 2021, we must all cautiously celebrate this new year, and put all our collaborative efforts together towards our mission to achieve the rapid, robust, and responsible recovery of the ailing tourism industry.

Let us all pray that everyone around the world feels good with the confidence to travel. May the new year bring along many new opportunities to prosper and build up our professional as well as personal lives. Our life and the entire world would be more beautiful when we see the world as one family with Love and Compassion for each other.
