Background
Japan has long been a high-potential source market for Nepal, with deep-rooted cultural, spiritual, and people-to-people connections. Despite these ties, the number of Japanese tourists visiting Nepal has seen a significant decline in recent years. With changing travel trends and heightened interest in wellness, spirituality, and authentic cultural experiences, it is both timely and strategic to reposition Nepal as a preferred destination for Japanese travelers.

To this end, PATA Nepal Chapter, in collaboration with PATA Japan Chapter, Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), and Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), proposes to organize a Tourism Promotion and B2B Exchange Program in Japan. This initiative aims to strengthen Nepal’s visibility, reinforce travel-trade linkages, and promote Nepal Airlines’ direct connectivity, creating renewed business opportunities and confidence in the Japanese market.

Objectives of the Program

-To re-establish Nepal’s market presence among key Japanese tour operators and travel trade stakeholders.

-To promote Nepal’s diverse tourism products, emphasizing culture, spirituality, nature, and adventure.

-To facilitate B2B networking opportunities between Nepali and Japanese travel businesses.

-To enhance Nepal’s brand visibility through joint media and influencer outreach.

-To promote Nepal Airlines’ connectivity as a viable and reliable travel option for Japanese travelers.

-To foster collaboration between PATA Nepal, NTB, and international PATA Japan Chapter for sustained market development.
