Ms. Halona Padiachy

Ms. Halona Padiachy is the Managing Director for the PATA Foundation, the philanthropic charitable sister organization of the Pacific Asia Travel Association. Halona cultivates the Foundation’s development through strategic programmes and partnerships that bring to life the PATA Foundation’s mission to advance travel and tourism development through the Asia Pacific region by supporting education, skills development and capacity building projects for vulnerable and underprivileged communities.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Halona served as the Director of International Partnerships, Membership and Chapter Relations at PATA for four years, helping to support the growth of organizations and communities within the travel and tourism sector in Asia Pacific.

A results-driven, communications strategist, Halona has a background in the public sector, working with the Canadian Federal Government. Through this experience she gained first-hand experience witnessing the impact of public/private collaboration in fostering the social and economic development of communities. She supported several national projects in both a communications and programmes capacity. Of special importance to her is her work under the Indian Residential Schools Resolution Health Support Program, where she worked
closely with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (TRC) to coordinate and execute truthsharing events across Canada’s Northern Region to support Canada’s Indigenous communities in healing and reconciliation.

A facilitator of conversations, connections and community, Halona thrives in the presence of deep, soulful, life-shifting discourses and exchanges. As an Executive, Leadership and Life Coach, witnessing the journey of individuals to their true selves, and the transformation that follows in all aspects of their lives leading them to experience more joy every day is a privilege and a blessing that she gets to enjoy when not helping further the work of the PATA Foundation.
