Heritage Sites Cleaning Program by PATA Nepal Student Chapter

On the occasion of the 40th World Tourism Day, PATA Nepal Chapter with its Student Chapter organized the Heritage Sites Cleaning Program today (26th September 2019). About hundred Young Tourism Professionals and volunteers gathered in 7 different UNESCO World Heritage Sites within Kathmandu Valley to conduct the cleaning program, that was aimed not only to clean, but also to raise awareness on the importance of Heritage Sites Conservation for Sustainable Tourism Development. In addition to the cleaning activity, PATA Nepal Chapter team discussed the Heritage Conservation issues with local management committees and community people emphasizing on the challenge to preserve such historical and valuable assets of our nation.

We extend our gratitude and thanks to all the concerned authorities, volunteers and YTPs for facilitating necessary coordination and support to successfully conclude this program by PATA YTPs and we will continue to leverage our support and collaboration for the conservation of our socio-cultural masterpieces offering immense artistic and inspiring value for tourism development in the country.
