Nepal Govt., has officially opened Tourism for travelers with resuming Visa On Arrival (VOA) services and no compulsory quarantine for fully vaccinated travelers with valid certifications.  

The Govt., decided to grant Visa On Arrival to nationals of those countries who are entitled to as per the prevalent law and who have taken complete dose (s) of Covid-19 Vaccines. The double jabbed / fully vaccinated visitors may apply for the Visa at the entry points of Immigration in Nepal with the following additional documents, besides other documents for VOA. 

1) Evidence of Completion of 14 days period of complete dose(s) of Vaccination against Covid-19 prior to boarding the flight to Nepal. 

2) 72 hours Covid-19 negative report from a Govt/WHO recognized hospital or clinic which is required prior to the check-in at the Airline Counter at the airport!!

3) A copy of Expedition/Trekking or other mandatory Permits, if required.

4) Evidence of hotel booking in Nepal. 

5) A printed copy of the filled-up International Traveler Online Arrival form by logging in to www.ccmc.gov.np. 

All foreign nationals entering Nepal must undergo Antigen Test upon arrival at the Nepal Immigration entry point and if found Negative, they may carry on with their travel and holiday programs/arrangements in Nepal. But, in case they are tested Positive, then tourists shall be sent to an isolation center, a designated hotel or, a hospital as recommended by the Ministry of Health and Population. 

For those who are unable to undergo Antigen Test at the Nepal Immigration Entry Point, PCR Test or Antigen Test must be taken when in the hotel, and the visitor shall be allowed movement from the hotel only after RT PCR Negative. 

For Visitors who have not taken the complete dose(s) of vaccination, Visa must be obtained beforehand from the respective Nepal Embassy abroad or through Visa Recommendation through travel/ tour/ trekking agency in Nepal. Such visitors will have to stay compulsorily for 10 days Quarantine and if on 11th day are found PCR Negative, they may also proceed with their travel program. 

This decision was made official by the Cabinet Secretariat on Thursday 23rd Sept 2021 and will remain valid until further notice. 

The tourism fraternity of Nepal welcomes this decision towards the Path to Recovery in Tourism following the aftermath of this dreadful Pandemic.
