PATA Nepal Chapter helps to organise “India Nepal Folk Craft Festival 2015”

India-Nepal Folk Crafts Festival, 2015” – A six-day long festival held at Bhrikuti Mandap from September 23-28, 2015. The exhibition features to enhance bilateral relations in the field of arts and crafts between India and Nepal. The India Nepal Folks Craft Festival provides a platform to the artisans from India and Nepal to exchange ideas and explore collaboration for larger cooperation based on craft.

The event was supported Embassy of India, Kathmandu, Indian Cultural Centre-Embassy of India, Kathmandu, Embassy of Nepal, New Delhi, Nepal Tourism Board, Ministry of Culture, Tourism & Civil Aviation, Government of Nepal, PATA Nepal Chapter, Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal (FHAN), B.P. Koirala India-Nepal Foundation, Hello Nepal Nepal Khadi Gramodyog, Hotel Marshyangdi with Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) being the official carrier and Soaltee Crowne Plaza as the Hospitality Partner for the event.

“Khadi-Nepal”- Weaving nations together, a fashion show was organised on 24 September 2015 as a part of the Festival, ensembling khadi and handicrafts were launched by South Asia Foundation, India in collaboration with the council of Handicrafts Development Corporations (COHANDS), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India and South Asia Foundation-Nepal. H.E Ranjit Rae, Ambassador of India in Nepal was the Chief Guest for the show.
