PATA Nepal Chapter initiates CAPACITY BUILDING IN MICE TOURISM

Kathmandu, 16 April 2017: PATA Nepal Chapter (PNC) has initiated the training program entitled as “Capacity Building in MICE Tourism” from today at Mid Valley International College, Gyaneshwor, Kathmandu for the students to be involved in the various aspects of events and programs related to the forthcoming Himalayan Travel Mart 2017 and International Travel Bloggers and Media Conference that is going to be held from June 01-04, 2017.

Under the theme of “Capacity Building in MICE Tourism”, PATA Nepal Chapter is organizing the training programs for the students with National and International Resource Persons to enlighten, enhance and upgrade the knowledge and skills regarding the event management.  About 60 students from PATA Nepal Chapter Member colleges are taking part in this training program. The first training module on “Personality Development and Event Management” is being mentored by Mr. Prabhat Rimal (CEO-Vogue Ad. & Event Management) started from today till May 12, 2017.

The training was officially inaugurated by Mr. Suman Pandey, Chairman of PATA Nepal Chapter. Mr. Pandey during his welcome remarks emphasized on the importance of such training in capacity building of the students and their roles for the Himalayan Travel Mart 2017.

Mr. Suresh Singh Budal (Executive Manager-PATA Nepal Chapter) informed that PATA Nepal is bringing Dr. Bert Van Walbeek (The renowned expertise in the Asian MICE Industry) from Thailand to conduct Two Days Capacity Building Training on “MICE.
