PATA Nepal Chapter supported "Luxury Affairs" – a curated familiarization trip organized by Amaya Sojourns, a Nepal-based luxury travel company, held from May 1–6, 2025. The initiative brought together some of India’s leading voices in luxury, lifestyle, and business, showcasing Nepal’s exotic destinations, including Kathmandu, Nagarkot, Pokhara, and Mustang.

The program spotlighted Nepal’s rising stature as a luxury travel destination, uniting Bollywood celebrities, global luxury brand executives, and tourism leaders to strengthen the country's positioning for high-value travelers.

On May 5, 2025, a press meet was held at Marriott Kathmandu, where PATA Nepal Chapter extended its support, reaffirming its commitment to advancing Nepal’s tourism sector—particularly in the luxury segment.

The evening opened with a warm welcome from Ms. Mausami Bohara, Founder of Amaya Sojourns, who highlighted the vision and significance of the event.

Mr. Deepak Raj Joshi, CEO of the Nepal Tourism Board, emphasized Nepal’s unique selling propositions in the luxury tourism space and presented tokens of appreciation to the distinguished guests, underlining Nepal’s dedication to delivering unforgettable travel experiences.

Adding depth to the dialogue, Mr. Suresh Singh Budal, CEO of PATA Nepal Chapter, remarked:“Nature is the new luxury. To elevate luxury tourism as a low-volume, high-value market, Nepal must champion and invest in its unique, world-class experiences.” His insights reinforced the vision for a sustainable luxury tourism strategy rooted in authenticity and excellence.

The visiting delegates also shared their first-hand experiences, describing Nepal as a promising luxury destination that offers authentic, immersive experiences amid stunning natural beauty and the warmth of its hospitable people.

This impactful initiative was made possible through the valued support of Marriott Kathmandu, Nepal Tourism Board, Kavya Himalayas, Rupakot Resort, Shinta Mani Mustang, and other esteemed partners. With its strategic involvement, PATA Nepal Chapter not only expanded the event’s reach but also delivered a clear message: Nepal is ready to lead in sustainable luxury tourism—and PATA remains a driving force behind this transformative journey.
