PATA Nepal Chapter concluded its 2-day training session on Digital Tourism Marketing today at NTB. The training was conducted highlighting the impact of social search and social media integration which is changing the landscape and the user experience. The role of technology, specifically online distribution, social media and mobile devices has completely revolutionized the way travel is marketed, researched and distributed globally. Mr. Damian Cook from E-Tourism Frontiers and Ms. Sarah Mathews shed light on the topics related to the ever evolving digital world and the means to get the best of what it has to offer to benefit the destination and the product. An enthusiastic crowd of approximately 100 participants from Travel Trade Industry, Hotel, Airlines, Students and Media took part in this training.
In continuation to the 2-day training session, PATA Nepal Chapter conducted a PATA Digital Academy-DMO Session on 5h Dec. 2014 presenting Mr. Damian Cook and Ms. Sarah Mathews as a Resource Person; for officials of Tourism Ministry, Department of Tourism, Nepal Tourism Board, Industry stakeholders, members of Tourism Organizations and media.
