Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Nepal Chapter organized a Human Capital Development (HCD) Training Program titled "Nepal Tourism 2.0: Digital Strategies, Sustainability, and Meaningful Tourism Tools to Achieve Success in Dynamic Source Markets!" on June 4th-5th, 2024, at Park Village Resort, Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu.
The program featured distinguished international tourism experts and thought leaders, including Prof. Dr. Wolfgang (China Market and Meaningful Tourism Expert), Dr. Jens Thraenhart (Digital/AI Marketing & High-Yield Tourism Strategies Expert), and Dr. Ali Akaak (Sustainability Expert).
The HCD program witnessed the participation of 45 individuals representing hotels, travel agencies, airlines, and other tourism hospitality businesses from PATA member organizations and industry stakeholders from the tourism fraternity of Nepal. The training program imparted valuable insights into the latest trends and strategies shaping the tourism landscape, aiming to equip the participants with the knowledge and tools to thrive in dynamic source markets.
Participants also had the opportunity to witness and actively participate in insightful discussions among national and international experts during the Expert Roundtable Meet on the afternoon of June 5th, 2024. The Expert Roundtable Meet focused on discussions to suggest or shape the future direction of Nepal's tourism, as well as the engagement and advocacy roles of our association in fostering the sustainable growth of Nepal's tourism and hospitality sector.
