PATA Nepal Meets With Member Colleges

March 28, 2017: PATA Nepal Chapter (PNC) organized Interaction Meeting today with its member colleges at Mid-Valley International College: School of Hospitality Management, Kathmandu; with an aim to discuss further collaborations and collective efforts on various aspects of Tourism & Hospitality Education in Nepal.

The Principals and Representatives from different chapter colleges including Mr. Amit Kumar Wagle from KATH, Mr. Samir Thapa from SMSHM, Ms. Reetal Rana from MVIC, Mr. Pranesh Sharma from NCTTM, Mr. Khem Lakai from GATE were present at the meeting. These Pioneer Tourism & Hospitality education institutions have committed to jointly move ahead with the projects & initiatives undertaken by PATA Nepal Chapter in the context of Tourism & Hospitality Education.

The contemporary challenges, issues, opportunities and best practices in Hospitality & Tourism industry were discussed and recommendations were raised to PATA Nepal for the initiation of projects to improve & upgrade Educational standards & Research works in the tourism sector.

PNC Chairman, Mr. Suman Pandey highlighted on the scopes and opportunities of joint collaboration amongst hospitality and tourism colleges; and committed to facilitating the needful support and coordination on behalf of the association.
