PATA Nepal Chapter and Nepal Tourism Board organized China Ready Training and Certification Program on Sunday, October 07, 2018, at Park Village Hotel & Resorts, Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu; in collaboration with China Outbound Tourism Research Academy (COTA), which is also supported by Welcome China, one of the largest destination marketing agencies in Asia with offices in 11 countries, 8 cities in China covering tier 1, 2, 3 and traditional Chinese markets (HK, Taiwan, Macau). 

China Ready is a China Visitor Certified Training certification that equips suppliers with the understanding of Chinese Culture and Custom, Industry-specific knowledge, Languages and Marketing. China ready training certification offers service providers a complete picture of what is required to be a product/service ready to welcome Chinese visitors. The training program is developed by China team (Chinese and EXPAT) who understood both Chinese Psychology and international perspective. The program includes Culture (belief, history, family and language), Custom (numbers, colours, dining and food), Expectation (dignity, industry practice), Business (negotiation, money, relationship) and Marketing (Online, Offline, Social Media e.g: We chat). 

This is the One-Day workshop/seminar with the specialized course consists of 30 modules; comprising of Cultural (14), Marketing (10), Language (1) and Industry Specific Knowledge (5) followed by Q&A, Discussion, Solutions, and Certification. 

China overtook both USA and Germany to have become the largest outbound market in the world since 2012. In 2017, the total number of China outbound tourist reached 130 million, making it the largest outbound tourist in the world. Looking at the present scenario, the Chinese visitors to Nepal are increasing and encouraging; but this is still insignificant in comparison to the opportunity that Nepal can grab from this largest potential market. According to the World Tourism Organization, by 2020, there will be over 100 million Chinese outbound tourists. This will account for over 6 percent of the world’s travellers making China an important market to tap into. In connection to this, PATA Nepal Chapter understands and realizes the need for organizing a China-focused HCD program for the industry stakeholders to foster and boost the tourism potentials with this largest source market.

  

China Ready Training Certification would help to enhance the skill and China market-specific knowledge of human resources engaged in Nepal’s tourism sector. We believe that this, in turn, will add the significant value to meet the target of 2 Million tourists set by the Govt. of Nepal with the Visit Nepal Year 2020
