Berlin, Germany-Recognized by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), the Travelife accreditation establishes Royal Mountain Travel as a certified tour operator for ‘Excellence in Sustainability’ within the respective country to comply with the Global Sustainable Tourism Criteria and thus awarded the Travelife certification.

Royal Mountain Travel is one of a few tour operators in Nepal to be awarded the certification. For its achievements in the tourism industry; accomplished through functioning in a sustainable system by supporting local suppliers, communities, and culture – Royal Mountain Travel received such an honourable acknowledgement. On receiving the certificate, Shiva Dhakal comments, “It is a great pleasure, moreover a delightful moment for our Royal Mountain team, and our relative communities, to be awarded such great recognition.

“I would like to credit this success to everybody who always believed in us, and for all the supports that helped us to reach this success. We have always been committed to sustainable tourism since 2005 AD; the year of the establishment of Royal Mountain Travel. Now, to get a certification, as an international acknowledgement, from the Travelife will only motivate us to focus more on sustainable development through the tourism industry.”

On the 8th of February, 2017, MD, Shiva Dhakal received the certificate of Travelife’s ‘Excellence in Sustainability’ in Germany at ITB Berlin (Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin), one of the world’s largest tourism trade fairs. Travelife is a training, management and certification initiative for businesses committed to reaching sustainability.
